Wednesday 16th May 7pm
Organised by
St Columcille’s Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Department
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Department in St Columcille’s Hospital would like to invite you and your family to join them for a 3km walk in Shanganagh Park in Shankill on Wednesday 16th May.
The walk is being organised to promote Happy Heart week, and is an opportunity for us to catch up with all our past pupils! We will be meeting at the main entrance by the playground from 6.45pm, and the walk will start at 7pm.
As a little added incentive, everyone who participates in the walk will be in with a chance of winning a spot prize on the evening!
For anyone interested in supporting the Irish Heart Foundation, please ask for a sponsorship form, and any funds raised will be gratefully appreciated and collected on the evening, but this is entirely optional.
We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday 16th May!
Women?s Mini Marathon ? walk or run for Charity

About EB
Claudia, pictured here, is seven years old and is affected by the genetic skin condition EB. It is hard to tell by her smiling face that she is in constant pain. Children born with EB have little or no collagen in their skin causing the skin layers to blister and wound even at the slightest touch.
These wounds need to be dressed and treated several times a week taking up to two hours at a time. This task is usually taken on by a parent which can be distressing for both parent and child.
We want to provide a service that will allow parents to be
parents.
How you can help
In 2012, DEBRA Ireland wants to expand on the services that we provide to all children and adults living with EB by funding an EB Nurse Specialist who will be out on the road and visiting patients in their own homes.
In order to get a nurse out on the road we have to raise €90,000. This service will ensure that each patient gets the best possible medical care. This support will be invaluable to the family and will give parents a break from the distress caused by putting their child through agonising bandage changes.
This is why we are calling on you to join team DEBRA and run, walk or jog the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon to help us get a nurse out on the road!
If you can’t join us on the day you can make a donation on:
